Cork
Cork is actually the bark of an oak tree known as the Cork Oak. It is an evergreen which grows in areas bordering the Mediterranean Sea predominantly Spain & Portugal.
In times of increased concern for the environment cork remains the only tree that can regenerate itself after every harvest typically every 9 –15 years. This does not harm the tree, which can live to be up to 500 years old.
Frequently customers will select cork flooring for its durability, warmth, sound deadening, natural resistance to mold & mildew and ease of maintenance.
Corks variation in tones from tile to tile, subtle patterns and the warm natural colour pallet lends itself to almost any décor.
